Once upon a time my son and his two friends got an idea to find an online resource that would provide at least a bit of assistance to people wishing to run their own background investigation on others. They had wanted to locate my long lost classmate, who I then believed emmigrated to Australia.
Well, to put tedious details aside, after some "googling" returning results that were relevant, but of very little use for my son specifically, quite casually he came across a web-based software, which he (and I too) had never suspected exist online and which, in fact, helped to start his investigations effort moving somewhere from the dead point. Quite independently the other two of their small team working from their home computers, too found 2 resources that turned out helpful. At that point they fell apart to proceed each their own way and see what happens.
Ultimately, they did locate my friend... in Argentine. The interesting thing about all that is that they moved towards the same goal by three differnet ways, but like that ancient saying goes, "all routes were leading to Rome". The happy reunion with my buddy did take place. Which ultimately lead to them asking me to help them create this web site.
Here Willie, Peter and Susan intend to share their online sleuthing experience with the community and tell other amateur investigators what and how exactly they did. Suzie suggested they should start from attempting to write a review for each of these investigative resources that turned out so much handy for them.
